Mountain utility outages can happen during storms or other grid events. The cabin's 200-amp whole-house generator is designed to restore power automatically, with no guest setup or fuel handling required.
The generator has a noticeable hum while operating. It runs only when needed and shuts down after utility power is restored. Previous guests have preferred the temporary sound to staying without power.
The hot tub, central heat and gas fireplace make the cabin especially comfortable for winter stays. The covered front deck, fenced yard and outdoor seating offer additional places to enjoy the forest setting in other seasons.
